About Bidstats

Bidstats is a British website that aggregates public sector notices from UK portals and presents them with contract award data and buyer pages. It is a lean, self-service product: a company signs up on the site, picks a plan and starts searching, with no demonstration and no sales call. The free plan allows five record views a day across three portals and ninety days of history. Standard, at £35 a month or £350 a year, opens two years of history with awards and one email alert. Pro, at £80 a month or £800 a year, gives three seats, five years of history, unlimited alerts and exports, with extra seats at £150. An Insights tier from £5,000 a year adds spend, frameworks, pre-procurement data, ten years of history and an API.

Why companies move from Bidstats to Scoutee

Reason 1: one country, and the archive behind a paywall

Bidstats is a United Kingdom product, and inside it the depth is metered: three portals and ninety days on the free plan, two years on Standard, five on Pro, ten on Insights. A supplier pays for the past, and cannot buy another country at all. Scoutee indexes more than 100 official sources in more than 30 countries of Europe and North America, collected every night and deduplicated into one row per tender. Every plan searches all of them, and no portal is held back for a higher tier.

Reason 2: the API costs £5,000 a year there and 49 euros a month here

Bidstats puts its API in the Insights tier, from £5,000 a year, with the spend and framework data. A small team that wants notices in its own tools has no cheaper route. Scoutee includes the API and an MCP server from Pro, at 49 euros a month, and runs a public MCP server that is free and needs no account. Team, at 149 euros a month, adds ten users and the award history without changing the data on offer.

Reason 3: no AI reading of the tender documents

Bidstats plans list search, alerts, history, exports and seats; no AI reading of the specification appears among them, so the documents are still read by hand. On Scoutee the analysis fetches the documents from the buyer's platform and extracts the deadlines, the budget, the requirements and the exclusion criteria, on one page shared with the workspace. The free plan runs two a month, Pro a hundred, Team unlimited; extras are ten for ten euros, and reading an analysis a colleague already ran is free.

Reason 4: no charge per seat

A fourth person on Bidstats Pro costs £150. On Scoutee, Team at 149 euros a month carries ten users with unlimited analyses, the award history and priority support, and an analysis run by one of them is readable by all the others at no cost. Nothing is billed per notice or per download. Bidstats' Standard plan at £35 a month is cheaper than Scoutee Pro, and for one alert on UK notices with two years of history, it is a fair price for what it is.

Where Bidstats is strong

  • A free tier that requires no card and no call, which makes the UK notice flow visible in minutes.
  • Published prices at every level below Insights, rare in a market where most sell on quote.
  • Award data from the Standard plan, with buyer pages built on the UK contract record.
  • Self-service throughout: sign up, search, export, with no onboarding process to sit through.

FAQ

Does Bidstats cover tenders outside the United Kingdom?

Its data is the United Kingdom public sector, and no plan on its pricing page opens another country. Whether it carries European notices is not stated on the pages read. Scoutee collects more than 100 official sources in more than 30 countries of Europe and North America, national and regional portals included, in every plan.

How much does Bidstats cost?

Prices read on 13 September 2026: free plan with five views a day across three portals and ninety days of history; Standard £35 a month or £350 a year; Pro £80 a month or £800 a year with three seats and £150 per extra seat; Insights from £5,000 a year. Scoutee's Pro plan is 49 euros a month, Team 149 euros.

Can I try Scoutee before paying?

Yes, and without a daily view limit. The free plan never expires: search every official source in more than 30 countries, save searches, receive one daily alert and run two tender analyses a month. No card is asked for. Pro and Team are monthly and cancellable at any time.

Does Scoutee show award data like Bidstats?

Scoutee's Team plan at 149 euros a month carries the award history, who won what, alongside buyer profile pages that are available from Pro. Bidstats opens awards earlier, on its £35 Standard plan, but only for the United Kingdom; Scoutee's award history spans the same 30-plus countries as the rest of the index.

Is Scoutee's coverage really included in every plan?

Yes. Free, Pro and Team search the same index: more than 100 official sources in more than 30 countries, collected every night and deduplicated. Plans differ by alerts, analyses, users and the award history on Team, never by the number of portals, the years of history or the country.
