About GovSpend

GovSpend is an American government market intelligence company, built on the purchasing records of state, local and education buyers and, through its Fedmine platform, on federal contract data drawn from nineteen sources. It sells fifteen years of purchase orders, bids, contracts, comparable pricing, incumbent vendors, renewal dates, buyer contacts and public meeting transcripts. Its customers are sales teams that want to know what an agency already buys, from whom and at what price. It publishes REST APIs, native Slack and CRM integrations, and an MCP server that feeds its data to Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot. There are no tiers: the company says so in its FAQ. Contracts are annual, priced per customer on quote, with a multi-year option.

Why companies move from GovSpend to Scoutee

Reason 1: one country, or thirty

GovSpend stops at the United States border. Its records are American purchase orders, American contracts and American agencies, which is exactly what it sells; a company that also bids in Canada or in Europe has no second product to buy from GovSpend. Scoutee indexes more than 100 official sources in more than 30 countries of Europe and North America, collected every night and deduplicated into one notice per tender. Every plan searches all of them. In exchange, Scoutee does not hold fifteen years of agency purchase orders, and does not pretend to.

Reason 2: a published price instead of a value-based quote

GovSpend publishes no price and no tier. Each contract is negotiated on the value the customer is expected to get, which makes budgeting a negotiation. Vendr, which records what its clients actually sign, puts the median GovSpend contract at $11,576 a year across 37 deals, in a range from $7,900 to $49,470. Scoutee publishes three numbers instead: free, 49 euros a month for Pro, 149 euros a month for Team with ten users, billed monthly and cancellable at any time.

Reason 3: the AI reads the solicitation, and its price is on the page

GovSpend bundles "AI at Work" into subscriptions whose price is never published, so the cost of an AI answer is invisible. Scoutee sells the analysis openly: two a month on the free plan, a hundred on Pro, unlimited on Team, extra analyses ten for ten euros. Each analysis retrieves the documents from the buyer's platform and extracts the deadlines, the budget, the requirements and the exclusion criteria, on one page shared with the workspace. Reading an analysis someone already ran is free.

Reason 4: a free plan, and keywords in 24 languages

GovSpend has no free plan; the way in is a demonstration and a quote. Scoutee's free plan never expires: search every source, save searches, one daily alert, two analyses a month. The keywords proposed from the company profile are translated into the 24 languages of the sources, so a company selling medical devices finds Dutch, Polish and Spanish notices without writing those languages. The company memory keeps the references and certifications reused from one bid to the next.

Where GovSpend is strong

  • Fifteen years of SLED purchase orders and contracts, collected directly through agency relationships.
  • Comparable pricing and incumbent vendors, which tell a seller what an agency already pays and to whom.
  • Named buyer contacts and public meeting transcripts, which no notice feed carries.
  • An MCP server and REST APIs that push that history into Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Slack and a CRM.

FAQ

Does GovSpend cover tenders outside the United States?

No. GovSpend's records are American: state, local and education purchasing, plus federal contract data through Fedmine and its nineteen sources. Canada and Europe are outside its scope. Scoutee collects more than 100 official sources in more than 30 countries of Europe and North America, in one index and one search.

How much does GovSpend cost?

GovSpend publishes no price and states in its FAQ that it has no tiered pricing; contracts are annual and value-based, with a multi-year option. Vendr, a third party recording signed contracts, reports a median of $11,576 a year across 37 deals, from $7,900 to $49,470. Scoutee's Pro plan is 49 euros a month, published.

Can I try Scoutee before paying?

Yes. The free plan never expires: search every source, save searches, receive one daily alert and run two tender analyses a month. Pro and Team are monthly and cancellable at any time. A public MCP server is also free, without an account, for asking an assistant what is open now.

Does Scoutee show what an agency already bought, like GovSpend?

Not to that depth. Scoutee has no purchase order history, no comparable pricing, no buyer contacts and no meeting transcripts. The Team plan carries award notices, who won what, and every plan carries buyer profile pages. For incumbent and spend research in the United States, GovSpend holds data Scoutee does not.

Is Scoutee's coverage really included in every plan?

Yes. The free, Pro and Team plans search the same index: more than 100 official sources in more than 30 countries, collected every night and deduplicated. The plans differ by alerts, analyses, users and award history, never by geography. No country, state or province is sold separately.
