SLOPE STABILIZATION SPILLWAY EAST ABUTMENT OF MORDEN DAM CITY OF MORDEN

East abutment of the spillway at Morden Dam

Slope stabilization of the east abutment of the spillway at Morden Dam involving the removal and reinstallation of existing gabion baskets within the failed area of the slope and installation of granular rib trenches into the grade slopes.

The Work is described in the Specifications and shall include, but not necessarily limited to the following:

Fencing

Common excavation;

Removal and installation of gabion basket retaining wall and wall drain;

Installation of granular rib trenches; and

Regrading slopes.

Regrading of the parking lot

Regrading of the parking lot will be completed to re-direct run off water away from the east abutment of the spillway. The work  includes the removal and reinstallation of the existing fence, salvage of existing gravel and supply of new gravel.

The Work is described in the Specifications and shall include, but is not necessarily limited to the following:

Fencing;

Waste excavation;

Salvaged gravel; and

Supply and placement of traffic gravel
