Geographic Information System Data Architect

This bid solicitation is being issued to satisfy the requirement of one (1) G.5 Geographic Information System Data Architect, Level 3 for Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada for Task-Based Informatics Professional Services (TBIPS) under the TBIPS Supply Arrangement (SA) method of supply.

The primary objective is to establish a centralized geospatial data environment within the organization’s Azure-based Unified Data Platform (UDP). This environment will enable the efficient ingestion, validation, storage, integration, sharing, and spatial analysis of geospatial data across the organization, while supporting real-time relationships between spatial data and enterprise business datasets, automation, and more consistent, data-driven decision-making.

In addition, the organization is looking for a cost-benefit analysis and recommendation of options to procure a modern geospatial platform, including how these options compare and integrate with HICC’s existing spatial capabilities and data ecosystems. The analysis will assess the potential value, costs, and implementation considerations associated with these platforms, and identify opportunities for location-based analysis, research, reporting, evaluation, automation, and application geoprocessing capabilities across the department.
