Privacy policy

Data we collect

Account: your email address, your name, the interface language, a password (stored hashed) and, if you sign in with Google, the identifier of your Google account. From Google we only receive your email address, your name and your profile picture; we do not store the picture.

Usage: the workspaces you create, your saved searches, keywords, favorites, the members you invite and the documents you upload to the company memory.

Billing: subscriptions are handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details and billing address; Scoutee only keeps the Stripe customer id, the subscription status and the period dates.

Support: messages sent through the support form, with your email address, IP address and browser, to fight abuse.

Technical: server logs (IP address, requested pages, timestamps) kept for at most 30 days for security and diagnostics.

Why we use it

To provide the service: sign you in, keep your searches, send the email alerts you enabled, prepare the tender responses you request.

To bill subscriptions and meet our accounting obligations.

To answer your support requests.

To keep the service safe: rate limiting, bot detection (Cloudflare Turnstile on the support form), abuse prevention.

We do not use your data for advertising and never sell it.

Legal basis

The performance of our contract (providing the service and billing), our legitimate interest in securing the service and answering requests, and your consent for email alerts, which you can withdraw at any time from your saved searches.

Processors and hosting

Data is hosted in Europe. We rely on Cloudflare (network, protection, email sending and receiving, file storage), Stripe (payments), Google (sign in with Google, if you choose it) and Anthropic (language-model processing of the documents you upload and of tender notices, for the company memory and tender response features). Each only accesses the data needed for its task.

Retention

Account data is kept as long as the account exists. You can delete your account at any time from your profile: the account, your workspaces and everything attached to them are erased immediately. Invoices are kept for 10 years as required by law. Support messages are kept for 2 years.

Cookies and local storage

Scoutee uses no tracking cookies. The browser keeps your session token, language and active workspace in its local storage, only to run the application. Cloudflare may set a technical security cookie.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your data. Write to [email protected]; we answer within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

Changes

This policy may change with the service. The update date is shown at the top of the page; significant changes are announced by email to account holders.
